What to Wear: Summer Barbeque

When it comes to everyones favourite summer tradition, (a.k.a the garden barbecue) we always try to follow these three guidelines: comfort, style and separates. The goal is to spend more time making memories and less time fussing with an overly complicated outfit. Your barbecue best should always reflect the latest summer trends, while still offering enough ease to participate in the garden activities.

Opt for minimal make-up, simple hairstyles like a ponytail or side braid, and never ever forget the all-important must-have: sunglasses. Squinty eyes are never photogenic. Garden BBQ's are notorious for having chairs sprawled about for late evening chat, so to keep things ultra flattering we suggest a slouchy blouse.

The airy top will keep the outfit breezy, while also acting as a great bathing suit cover up if you're gathering is poolside. Wide-leg trousers are as 60's inspired as you can get. The high waist linen trousers benefit from a relaxed yet tailored fit to complement any outfit.

Espadrilles and a fabulous tote bag will put the finishing touches on this comfy garden ensemble. Or, if you would rather  wear a sundress... Go for a simple summer dress and team with statement accessories or opt for a more eye-catching printed number or floral dress and finish with a pair of gladiator sandals.
