Theres nothing better than enjoying the Christmas period by catching up with friends over a festive drink. A great excuse to take some time out from the Christmas shopping, warm up and let the good times flow.
With so many beautiful Christmas bars popping up in London, we are spoilt for choice but here are some of our favourite bars and drinks to try this winter:
Citizen Cane at The Cocktail Trading Company
Served in a chilled snow globe, the citizen cane at The Cocktail Trading Company is the most magical Christmas cocktail around. Described as light, zesty and evocative, this well balanced drink is a combination of Cachaca, Rosebud Tincture, Cardamom Vanilla Infusion, Lime Juice and Sauvignon Blanc. Don’t forget to shake before you sip with festive joy. Dirty Martini
Offering a choice of 5 festive concoctions, Dirty Martini has really bought the creativity to their Christmas Cocktails this year combining their best premium spirits with the most festive flavours and adorning these with beautiful Christmas themed deco such as berries and star anise. Our favourite has got to be the Dirty Grinch and not just because of the inventive name. This sweet delight is a combination of Havana 3yr Rum, Crème de Cacao & Butterscotch Schnapps shaken with fresh mint & double cream and a dash of Crème de Menthe. We love the fact that it comes served with an after dinner mint chocolate slice.
The Snowball Snug at Two Ruba
Two Ruba is now offering the ultimate Christmas catch up with friends at their festive bar the Snowball Snug where you can enjoy a limited edition mix consisting of the Advocaat cocktail with a dash of cinnamon to spice thinks up. Full of Christmas cheer the Snowball Snug is also a great place to host a Christmas Party. Ideal for getting people into the seasonal spirit the snug is complete with a dance floor and disco deco so that you can dance the night away whilst sipping on those cocktails and enjoying some festive rolls.
Trader Vic’s at London Hilton (Park Lane)
Trader Vic’s is offering you the chance to celebrate Christmas in Paradise this year with their new bar offering festive cocktails with a tiki twist. Here you can expect a range of tropical cocktails on the menu as well as the traditional hot toddies. Our favourite drink to start of those Jolly Christmas spirits has got to be the Coffee Diablo. This warm and festive mix consists of brandy in combination with cinnamon and cloves and aromatic orange liquor.
Nothing says Christmas like mulled wine. The ultimate festive drink can be best enjoyed this year at The Rabbit in Sloane Square. Typically British, this traditional little haunt owned by the Gladwin Brothers is a fine place to gather for a lovely Sunday lunch.
